[NTG-context] issue with string.collapsespaces()

Dear list, I have the following sample: \starttext \startlua a = "a bc de" context(string.collapsespaces(a)) \stoplua \stoptext Sorry for the stupid question, but isn’t the collapsespaces function intended to remove spaces?
