Hans, we think that luatex-fonts-merged.lua is broken: It contains in line 8594 return characters.indicgroups (from luatex-basics-chr.lua) and such a return statement is a problem in a merged file. -- Ulrike Fischer https://www.troubleshooting-tex.de/
