I'm moving away from LaTeX to ConTeXt to decrease system complexity, speed up generating PDF documents, provide the ability to create beautiful EPUB documents from the same auto-generated ConTeXt source file, leverage MetaPost, plus all the other benefits that ConTeXt offers. The project has some interesting design and layout challenges due to the book content's dynamic nature. (For example, there are thematic concepts applied across many different designs having optional content and stylistic variations on the same data sets.)
