Let \placeformula \[ f(x) = x^2, \] where $x$ means nothing.
I've found that inserting \let\startformula\startmpformula \let\stopformula\stopmpformula before \usemodule[nath] does the trick. But I feel it's not a very good idea. Any advice? David
