Hello, I already mentioned this some time ago, but I lost track of that email. Since the problem still exists in the after today's update, I'll try again:
\setupnote[footnote][n=2] \starttext \dorecurse{6}{\input hawking\footnote{Nevertheless, there must be a line break in the footnotes}} \stoptext
