A alternative to using floats is to put the combination in a linecorrection environment, i.e.
\startlinecorrection \startcombination [2*2] ... \stopcombination \stoplinecorrection
or
\startlinecorrection[blank] \startcombination [2*2] ... \stopcombination \stoplinecorrection
I hadn't thought of this. That's better suited than a float. However, I'd prefer to not have another environment around the combinations, but if there's no other way, I'd settle for your approach. So far that seems to be the best choice. Thanks for the quick response. Marco
