Hello I've been lurking on this list for a couple of months, and it seems to me that it would be really helpful to the TeX and Lua communities if their members could read the messages, without having to subscribe to the list. For what it's worth, I think most open-source devel mailing lists are publicly viewable. I'd like to know what the other list members think. Jonathan

the pdftex list started out that way and eventually a second list (specially for development) was created (there are more semi-closed tex dev lists, not ending up in search engines and therefore less vulnerable for spam etc etc) this is not a user forum; users should go to the lists related to the macro package they use Hans ----------------------------------------------------------------- Hans Hagen | PRAGMA ADE Ridderstraat 27 | 8061 GH Hasselt | The Netherlands tel: 038 477 53 69 | fax: 038 477 53 74 | www.pragma-ade.com | www.pragma-pod.nl -----------------------------------------------------------------

I saw somebody asked gmane to subscribe, and I approved that subscription, so the list archives will become viewable by everybody starting now. I'll keep the mailman archive private, for now. Best wishes, Taco

Thank you for this, Taco. What I asked for is already there. Good news. Except I couldn't find dev-luatex on gmane. I tried the following search: http://gmane.org/find.php?list=dev-luatex Perhaps I did something wrong. Taco, perhaps you can help. Jonathan
