macnames.c I know, I should fix this myself. :-)

I just committed #1057, with at least an initial attempt towards a working "make depend". It seems to work as expected on linux with gmake, gcc4 and bash, but I do not dare to make claims for other platforms and combinations. Best wishes, Taco
