Hi,
does anybody use the synctex features in luatex? synctex is included in the luatex engine, but due to the multidir changes also the synctex C code needed to be patched and now the positions on the page reported by synctex are rather likely off by a constant (x,y) distance. Problem is that i can't test it. Therefore i would be very happy if anybody could tell me how to use synctex under linux? Or is it a Mac thing only? Does it work with, e. g., xpdf?
Actually I don't use it (yet), because there was no supporting viewer that would work with emacs/auctex (which has already experimental support for synctex). Today I've read that the latest okular release claims to have support for pdfsync: http://okular.kde.org/news.php Then there's texworks (http://www.tug.org/texworks/), a combination of editor and viewer, which integrates synctex very nicely. You might want to give it a try.
