The easiest solution is converting the fonts you are using for your main text using FontForge to SVG fonts and then use these fonts for the drawings. The final PDF will be rendered with exactly the same fonts you are using in your main document.
Inkscape can embed Type1 fonts in its PDF output, some thing like "inkscape --export-pdf=file.pdf --export-embed-fonts file.svg", but I didn't try it. Another way is to convert text to paths "--export-text-to-path". Regards, Khaled -- Khaled Hosny Arabic localizer and member of Arabeyes.org team
