There is a lot of 0 coordinates in synctex file. Example from natnotes.tex file:

which natnotes.tex ? In texlive I see Master/texmf-dist/doc/latex/natbib/natnotes.tex Master/texmf-dist/doc/latex/aastex/natnotes.tex -- luigi
