Hello,
When I try to compile the recent Mark IV formats I get the following error:
! TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [pattern memory=80000].
and I don't know which setting it is in texmf.cnf (no pattern_memory, and no variable equal to 80000 either).
You want the variable named trie_size. Normally it is set quite a bit higher in texmf.cnf, so this error hints that texmf.cnf is not found at all (80000 is the compile-time default). Best wishes, Taco
