I uploaded a new alpha version. Next week we should pick up the xml syntax definition thread. I believe the new alpha contained the following changes: * new metafun file: mp-figs.mp * texexec: new option --autopath * xmltools.rb 1.1 (Hans, what's new?) * context.tex: version 2004.9.17 * mutations to cont-new.tex * figure placement fixes * \triangleup fix * float caption changes * an extension to spotcolor handling * a set of other minor fixes * new sample file: hawking .tex -- groeten, Taco

* mutations to cont-new.tex
I believe you should strive for cont-new.tex to be completely empty whenever a current alpha/beta becomes the new release. Personally I find cont-new.tex more of a problem than an asset (most of the time). It is very easy to end up with 'out of sync' versions that are inputted runtime and (re-)introduce weird bugs. Another thing: it would be nice if we could add an --uninstall or --upgrade or --install option to texexec. Sometimes old files need to be deleted, and this is not easy for 'normal' users. If you like the idea, I could have a go at it (I'd make a standalone version first, just like texversion.pl) Greetings, Taco

when i find the time i'll do it; the problem is that i then forget about the yet undocumented new things in there -) imagine that you also have a cont-loc on your system ...

makes sense so go ahead Hans

This will take some time since I am quite busy right now, but I'm 'on it'. -- groeten, Taco
Hans, It looks there are still some dutch macros (\maakhetnummer c.s., for example). Assuming this is accidental, I could attempt to (auto-)create a list of these? -- groeten, Taco
