The problem is that some people like to use the p* fonts instead of the u* fonts, which is what the type-akb typescript does; however -welcome to the font mess- these p* files are not always packages in distributions,
They should, since they are part of LaTeX. The names (p*) of the 35 base fonts should not change. And I'd guess that the metrics of the corresponding tfm files don't change over the time.
or names change, or ... It all has to do with not wanting to ship a few more tfm files i guess. Even worse: the metrics differ. This is just one of the reasons why i always generate my own metrics (texnansi-u* and such)
The reference uplr8t Gerben came across is part of the berry typescript, which IMO should be removed from ConTeXt. It just confuses users. Patrick (We should move this discussion to dev-context)
